Wisconsin Electric Gas Operations (WE-GO), a subsidiary of We Energies, is proposing a 33-mile natural gas pipeline spanning Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee Counties.

  • The Rochester Lateral Project is expected to cost between $210-$217 million and aims to supply gas to several power plants, including new facilities in Paris and Oak Creek. Two routes have been identified, with construction methods involving practices like dredging and open-cut trenching. This raises concerns about potential impacts on water quality and wetland conversion. If approved, construction would begin in late 2026.
